Stands for 846B

I'm looking to build some stands for my 846B's. Any thoughts on what height they should be would be appreciated.

Depends on the app, IOW seating distance, ear height to ground when seated.

With a fixed HF horn mounting though, optimum vertical placement is severely limited due to its collapsing dispersion with increasing frequency and the polar response at the XO point, so for the M19's proper time delay, raising it up to where the midpoint between the horn and woofer's horizontal centers is at ear height would be 'close enough' for a typical range of HI-FI listening distances.

If space/SAF allows, angling in the speakers till their on-axis centers cross in front of the 'sweet spot' should improve imaging/soundstaging if the room's acoustics haven't already been delt with.
